Bread cutting board is made of walnut and maple. The wood is cut, planed, glued, sanded until smooth and then routered edge. The only finish I use is Mineral Oil. Mineral oil is safe and recommended for care of all cutting boards.
Never submerge the bread board in water, wipe clean after every use. Every month or two, or when the bread board looks dry, put a generous amount of mineral oil on the bread board and wipe off excess; do this on both sides of the bread board. No other products are needed or recommencded,
