WebAug 24, 2010 · A 270 main jet is a little weak for a modded Banshee but it could be good. I ran from 290 in the Summer up to 330 in the Winter in my Banshee with stock carbs, milled head, porting, Toomey exhaust and modded air intake. I was always jetted a little fat to spare melting the top end. Don't forget that your mixing ratio contributes to jetting needs.

It was made by taking Yamaha 's manual recommendations and using the density altitude calculator to correct for altitude and temperature. -If you will be racing or running in open desert conditions, richen each jet by one size and the needle by 1/2 step. Oil is a 2strokes friend, don't try to clean up excess oil by reducing it from Hondas oil/fuel ratio recommendations. WebAug 27, 2024 · That plug does not show a lean condition. It does show a good bit of lower rpm usage with occasional wide open running. Leave the jetting as is and allow the child to learn to use the power that is there and monitor the spark plug for jetting and see if it changes. Adjust the jetting only if you see changes in the spark plug color. Airbox is open with a huge air filter inside (not sure what it is) connected to the carb via radiator hose wide enough to force onto the carb. These settings are for sea level if you are anywhere from 1500ft to sea level these settings should be very close to right on. Anything above 1500ft should lean the settings accordingly.
