Sounds like you've figured it out - the heads are the LEAST aggressive aluminum head for the 5.0L. They flow just a tad better than GT40 irons, or GT40P's. Unless you're going to port them, or you simply want to lose 50 lbs. of engine weight (my reason), almost any other aluminum selection flows noticeably better. sunshine 325
