There are plenty of old wind blown pines (bristlecone maybe?) to make for a very surreal location. Take in the scenery and follow the trail back to the trailhead. Chicago Creek road is a pretty good dirt road with a few large holes and there is parking for about 15 cars at the trailhead with some overflow along the road.
